Dan Hathaway was a child of five when he met Vitvan, Connia, and Anita in San Marcos. He did not understand Vitvan's message but he understood the tone of voice when people spoke to him. He also understood that the compost piles fed the emerald green garden enclosure and that everyone was proud of the garden. That simple understanding led to a later working life dedicated to bio-recycling. Soils, composting, municipal organic infrastructure (yard waste, parks, landfills, golf courses, roadsides, trees, trails, firebreaks, etc.), plus international development, manufacture, demonstration, and marketing of shredding machinery and recycling systems have kept Dan busy for the past forty years.

Dan has played the guitar and sung folk songs for about sixty years now. His Zen, Tibetan Buddhism, Infinite WaySaytha Sai Baba, etc, are all tempered by his love of folk music. The religions, sects, and disciplines have different rules but the laws of music are the same for them all.  Growing up in a world of a vast variety of personalities and opinions made him suspect everything he heard. Folk melodies withstand the test of time and are a true gauge of the unfettered human spirit.

Dan will present two classes, Healing the Earth and Healing Vibrations.

Jody Horton, CTR, became interested in body work when a family member discovered that the pain from his broken back was relieved by massage.  She educated herself in reflexology for almost a decade before taking formal training in 1997 and receiving her reflexology license.

When Jody learned about Thai massage, she realized that this technique went hand-in-hand with her reflexology work.   She also learned that there was no training available outside of Thailand.  She was very pleased when the Thai Institute of Healing Arts opened in 2005 in Washington, D.C.   The Thai Institute follows the direct ancient lineage of Father Doctor Shivagokomarpaj.  Jody completed her training at the Institute in 2008, and has incorporated Thai massage as well as foot reflexology into her practice in Ely, NV. She will be presenting Thai Yoga: Massage & Foot Reflexology.
