Art and Our Inner Wilderness: There is much concern in our times about wilderness preservation, reclamation and management. The effects of technological devastation are well-documented. Activists are striving mightily to heal the damages and change our behavior. However, not much attention is paid to the idea that the ailments apparent in the ecosystem are a reflection of estrangement, dissociation and exploitation of our own inner nature.  Consider a return to the point of departure from intimate rapport with the un-adulterated world of our early childhood stages of development. View excerpts from the film Rivers and Tides and discuss the work and understanding of the Scottish artist, Andy Goldsworthy, who shows us that the creative processes of art-making can be reclaimed from objective identity and ego. Consider the opportunities basin and range offer for healing the seeming separation within.

It empowers consumers to understand the consequences of their food choices on our future. Note: There will be NO FEE for this session.

Presenters:

Linda Hildred on Access Consciousness

Kathryn Angel McKee on John of God

and others.

Friday, 9:30 - 11:30 AM

Access Consciousness: Linda always remembers Vitvan repeatedly saying he was painting with a broad brush. She loved the courses on Functional Activities and the small book Healing Technic. Her journey has recently led her back to asking questions that she now realizes originally lead her to Vitvan. What if it is possible to change anything that is not working in your life by asking questions and using a simple energy modality to integrate the changes into your body? What if your body was more conscious than you? What if your body was your best friend? Linda has been experiencing phenomenal change in her life and watching it in others this last year. Come join her in exploration and laughter, as she introduces us to Access Consciousness and Bars.

Presenter: Linda Hildred

Friday, 9:30 AM, during Potpourri class.

John of God: John of God is a Brazilian psychic surgeon and medium/healer who has been healing people since he was 16 years old. He is now in his mid 60's. He works with spirit guides.  His treatments are free of charge.  In 2007 Kathryn and her late husband Bob went to Brazil where John completely cured his inoperable brain cancer, as later verified by his American doctors. When we were there John of God saw over 300 people a day.

Presenter: Kathryn Angel

Thai Yoga: Massage & Foot Reflexology: Thai Yoga is a centuries old practice that is gaining large scale popularity in the United States. Its origins date back  thousands of years to the Southeast Asian country of Thailand. The typical western massage focuses mostly on the external body. The goal of Thai yoga is to treat the whole person in their entirety and restore the client to a state of balance. Thai yoga combines gentle yoga stretching with acupressure over the zen lines or meridians which releases tendons, muscles and chi.

The benefits of Thai Yoga and/or reflexology can be significant and wide ranging. Not only do you feel instant relaxation and relief from stress and muscle pain, over time you can expect an enhanced immune system, improved mood, a general increase in energy and detoxification of the internal organs.

Jody will explain and demonstrate her methods.

Presented by Jody Horton.

.

Time Alone in Nature: Having viewed, discussed and pondered how the film “Rivers and Tides” calls us to return to a state of innocence, in which we rediscover the subtle wonders of nature, spend an hour or so alone in “The Bush” and hills that surround Home Farm. Deeply notice what small natural artifacts attract the eye. Collect a few and return to the meeting place where copy stand and cameras will be available for macrophotos. These will assist in the process of non-objective seeing that leads to inner discovery – to seeing what is not merely an image-appearing-substantive, the key to making art. What attracts your eye may relate to qualities of color, form, texture, intricacy, simplicity, strangeness… A primary principle of the creative process in the visual arts is notice what attracts your eye for no ‘good’ reason. Recall the world view of a child in harmony with the Mother.
